Gardaí in Donegal are warning that they will have to tow away cars if they are parked irresponsibly near some popular tourist areas.
The recent good weather has seen a surge in visitors flocking to beaches, waterfalls and other beauty spots.
But a lack of parking facilities has led to a number of incidents of obstructive parking.

It has been revealed that Gardaí have been directed to tow cars away if necessary.
Garda Niall Maguire, speaking in this week’s community update, urged people to park with care and avoid any inconveniences: “If they are parked silly it will not only be the loss of their vehicle for the day, they will have to go and get it taken out of the impound yard and they will also be given a parking ticket.”
Garda Maguire has appealed to people to respect local people and local landowners when visiting beaches.
Marble Hill near Portnablagh and Murder Hole at Melmore Head have been identified as some of the busiest areas in recent weeks.

Locals have had to come out and direct parking cars themselves at busy times at the Murder Hole, where the road has also become badly deteriorated. Visitors to this secluded beach are urged never to bring dogs or use drones, as beachgoers must pass through a working field to access the area and cattle have been scared in other incidents.
