Donegal is set to bask in more warm sunny weather this weekend as temperatures reach up to 26C.
Beach and adventure days will be planned across the county as locals and holidaymakers make the most of the good spell.
The north west will enjoy warm conditions and sunshine over Friday and Saturday, with Sunday set to bring sun and a risk of scattered showers.
Today will see temperatures heat up to 26C in areas, while Saturday will stay warm at highs of 24C. Things will turn a little cooler on Sunday with highest daytime temperatures 18 to 22 degrees.
The humidity will remain on the high side until midweek, Met Eireann said.
Nights will remain warm over the weekend too, with a chance of passing showers.
The dry weather may not last, however, as showers and some heavy rain is on the way for Monday and Tuesday. Forecasters say things may turn from Wednesday: “Current indications suggest rain moving in from the Atlantic on Wednesday in freshening southeast winds heralding a change of airmass and return of Atlantic mobility.”
