ANOTHER soccer club in Donegal has suspended its activities as a Covid-19 precaution.

Donegal Town FC confirmed the measure this afternoon in a brief statement.

“As a precautionary measure all activity within Donegal Town FC has been temporarily suspended from 17th August 2020 (today) until further notice,” the club said.

“This is due to a potential contact with a person who has shown symptoms of COVID-19.

“We are awaiting for a COVID-19 test result and will inform all as soon as possible of that result.

“This suspension includes astro pitch use (rental). The clubhouse is also now closed to all.”

This follows similar moves from Curragh Athletic, Drumkeen United, Mulroy Academy and St Catherine’s FC in recent weeks while GAA clubs Bundoran, Cloughaneely, Naomh Conaill and Naomh Colmcille have all imposed temporary suspensions.
