Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter is set to host a fascinating and interactive public event this Heritage Week.

The committee will be hosting a stained glass demonstration, facilitated by award winning artist Colette Langan Stained Glass in Dillons Hotel on Saturday, 22 August at 12 noon.

As part of the demonstration, Colette will make a replica segment of one of the windows from St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny. A set of deconstructed pieces will be in place and attendants will see the process of creating a stained glass window. Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to cut or paint the glass.

The demonstration will finish with a walk up to St Eunan’s Cathedral where stained glass windows will be viewed. Colette will field questions about the process from attendees and will speak about the artists whose work can be seen.

A sanitiser will be available and COVID19 guidelines will be adhered to.

The demonstration will be photographed and videoed and will be available on Colette Langan’s website . Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter will also film the event and hope to go live on their Facebook page.

Admission to the event is €5
