YVONNE Bonner and Katy Herron are to return to their respective AFLW clubs for the 2021 season.

Bonner will rejoin the Greater Western Sydney Giants with Herron set to get back to action with the Western Bulldogs.

The clubs confirmed in recent days that the Glenfin and Donegal duo will go back Down Under for the 2021 campaign.

Bonner has penned a one-year extension at the Giants alongside Mayo star Cora Staunton.

The AFLW’s 2020 season was cancelled in March because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Giants had made it as far as the semi-finals of a modified play-off series before the series came to an abrupt end.

Bonner will be entering a third campaign at the Giants while her club colleague Herron will head back to Australia for a second season.

Both players will first tackle the closing chapter of the Donegal LGFA senior championship with Glenfin before entering the All-Ireland ladies championship with Donegal.
