TWO sports clubs in Donegal who had temporarily suspended their activities pending Covid-19 tests are to resume again.

Four Masters GAA club and Illistrin Football Club had halted all club activities as precautionary measures.

However, both have issued statements since last night that Covid-19 tests have returned negative.

Four Masters said: “We have been informed that the Covid-19 test results have come back negative, so we are happy to announce a full resumption of club activity, including training and games, at all levels. Thanks to everyone for their cooperation.”

Illistrin FC said: “We are happy to confirm that the Covid-19 test that was referred to earlier today has come back negative. Thanks again to the player and their parents for taking the sensible decision to have a test carried out and to notify the club.

“By working together we can all try to keep each other safe and well. We will now resume club activities as planned. However, we are still going to be reviewing the FAI protocols and will be implementing any changes necessary in due course.”
