There is a risk of spot flooding on some roads across Donegal today due to heavy downpours, forecasters have warned.
Today (Monday) will be a wet and humid day for the north west.
Scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle are set to begin from the morning, with some “very heavy bursts” of rain.
Met Eireann forecasters report that conditions will improve slightly later in the day: “Whilst it will dry up in most inland areas this afternoon, intermittent rain and drizzle will persist across Atlantic counties, especially along the coast.
“Humid, with hill and coastal fog, but rather warm where sunny spells break through.
“Highest temperatures 16 to 18 or 19 degrees Celsius, warmest further east. West to southwest winds will be mostly moderate to fresh in strength.”
Tonight will remain very mild and humid with patchy rain and drizzle.
