GARDAÍ have urged caution to motorists in areas of Donegal to be aware of spot flooding.

Gardaí in Milford say they have been made aware of flooding in the areas of Treanbeg, Legnahoory and Treantagh.

“Please leave extra time for your journey in these areas,” Gardaí said.

“Please travel with caution on all roads this morning as there may be flooding on many other roads also.

“The Council are aware of many flooded areas and are working hard on the issues.

“Should you come across a badly flooded area, please contact Gardaí and make them aware.

“We can then contact the Council. Letterkenny Gardaí 074-9167100, Buncrana Gardaí 074-9320540, Milford Gardaí 074-9153060 or Ballyshannon Gardaí 071-9858530.

“You may also contact Donegal County Council directly on the emergency out of hours number 074-9172288.”
