Community urged to ‘Keep Convoy Tidy’

Every resident of Convoy is being urged to do their bit to keep the village looking tidy this season.

A new anti-litter campaign has been launched by the Convoy Community Environmental Committee to continue their hard work of the summer.

The local group, led by Chairperson Liam Mailey, have spent the summer sprucing up the village with much-admired improvement projects.

Now, the committee is calling on all locals to respect their work and keep the village litter-free.

Members young and old helped to launch a new poster campaign around Convoy and the new community park. They were joined by families, scheme workers improving the community and local Environmental officer Caroline Meehan for the event.

It is hoped that the campaign will go a long way in keeping Convoy tidy well into the future.
