Gardaí have apprehended a drug-driver who was caught speeding at 130kph on one of Donegal’s busiest roads.

The motorist was speeding on the main Letterkenny to Derry road at lunchtime today (Thursday) when they were stopped by the Buncrana Roads Policing Unit. The speed limit on this road is 100kph.

On inspection, Gardaí discovered that the driver is disqualified from driving. The driver then tested positive for cocaine and was subsequently arrested. They are set to appear in court at a future date.
