A popular Ballybofey cafe has temporarily closed its doors after one of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

Benny & Co cafe and restaurant took to social media to confirm the coronavirus-related news this morning.

Customers were told that the business has been immediately closed after management were informed of the staff member’s positive test result. The entire team is set to undergo tests while all necessary public health procedures are now being followed.

“We have just got word that a member of our team has tested positive, in the interest of our staff, customers and reputation we have made the decision to close our business temporarily to facilitate the testing of all our staff,” said the statement from Benny&Co.

“We will keep you all informed.

“I hope you understand that the measures we are taking are for the continued safety of our staff and customers.”
