Man rescued by helicopter after collapsing on beach

A man was rescued after he collapsed at Rossnowlagh beach yesterday evening.

The man took unwell just before 6pm and the emergency services were called.

It is understood that two ambulances were first on the scene.

The man received emergency treatment before the rescue 118 helicopter landed on the beach.

The casualty was flown to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.

His condition is not known.
