Holy cow – Glenswilly GAA club are fundraising on the hoof!

Donegal GAA star Michael Murphy certainly couldn’t be accused of being a slow mooover on the pitch.

And he certainly knows how to send defenders the ‘udder’ way in front of goal.

But not even the Glenswilly man could have predicted the next move of his latest opponent.

Michael looked a little nervous as he stood beside a prized heifer but it was all in a good cause.

The GAA ace is getting behind a unique fundraising draw at his club which aims to raise as much funds as possible through the raffling of a heifer.

A spokesperson for the club said “Glenswily GAAA Club are asking for your support in raising funds for the continuous development and upkeep of our club.

“In these unusual times our normal revenue streams have dried up and we are therefore bringing you this one-off opportunity to win a heifer or a heap of cash to the value of €1,000.

“Your support is greatly appreciated.”

Tickets for the draw are €10 a line and the closing date for the draw is October 30th next.

We know you’ve “herd” all these pleas before but this is a great cause!
