Curragh delight for McAteer and Browne-McMonagle

THERE was delight for Donegal jockeys Luke McAteer and Dylan Browne-McMonagle at the Curragh this afternoon.

McAteer won the Mongey Communications Nursery Handicap aboard Dearg Jazz, a 14/1 shot.

McAteer broke three lengths clear before Zozimus (15/2) stormed back under the direction of Paddy Harnett.

McAteer and Dearg Jazz held on, though, for the win – his 17th of 2020 and seventh in the last fortnight.

In the extra.ie Apprentice Handicap, Browne-McMonagle won on Lady Savanah.

Browne-McMonagle had almost two lengths on 6/1 shot Everyhouronthehour.
