The Bishop of Raphoe Dr Alan McGuckian scaled new heights this weekend for some very worthy causes.

The Bishop, known for his fitness and love of the outdoors, was joined by priests Fr Philip Kemmy and Fr Damien Nijad as they climbed Errigal Mountain on Sunday.

Bishop McGuckian led the way for two very worthy cause – the Cathedral Youth Ministry.

The men were blessed with fine weather and luckily the climb went off without a hitch.

Bishop McGuckian donned his Donegal hat, while Fr Nijad, who hails from Glasgow, proudly wore his beloved Glasgow Celtic jersey.

Having raised well over €5,000 through their Go Fund Me Page, the men enjoyed a fish supper once they were back down from the mountain.

Well done to one and all.
