A search operation is underway at Horn Head Dunfanaghy this Tuesday afternoon.
Members of the Irish Coast Guard are conducting the operation at the north coastline in conjunction with gardaí.
The Rescue 118 helicopter was tasked to the area after 3pm. The helicopter was returned to base in Sligo at 5.20pm.
Donegal Mountain Rescue volunteers were also been tasked on a search in north Donegal. The call-out was stood down at 8pm.
