Covid Latest: 11 confirmed cases in Letterkenny Hospital

The number of Covid-19 positive patients at Letterkenny University Hospital has risen to eleven this weekend.

The hospital has reported 11 patients with the virus onsite. One of those patients was recorded in intensive care at the time of the report.

A further four patients are awaiting Covid-19 test results at LUH. A double-test approach is being taken at the hospital during the pandemic.

These figures are valid to 8pm Saturday 3rd October.

At the same time last week, the hospital had two confirmed Covid-19 cases onsite.

58 new cases of the virus were detected in Donegal on Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the county since the outbreak began to 1071.

Nationally, the number of Covid-19 patients in Irish hospitals has reached 132.
