CATHAL DOHERTY says the lessons learned from last year inspired Carndonagh to victory in the Donegal JHC final yesterday.

Doherty was man of the match as his eight frees certainly played their part in the 2-13 to 2-11 win over Dungloe, which made up for the loss to Aodh Ruadh at the same stage last year.
