RONAN Curtis is one of five players to be called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for Wednesday’s UEFA Nations League game against Finland in Helsinki.

Manager Stephen Kenny has added five players to his roster.

West Bromwich Albion defender Dara O’Shea and Derby County midfielder Jason Knight have been promoted from the U-21 squad whilst Norwich City striker Adam Idah rejoins the squad following clearance from the HSE.

QPR midfielder Ryan Manning has been called into the senior squad for the first time while Curtis has also been drafted in.

The St Johnston man has been capped three times by Ireland.

The Boys In Green are third in their Nations League group after Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Wales in Dublin.

Last week, Curtis scored twice as Portsmouth defeated Southend 3-0 in the EFL Trophy at Roots Hall.

Curtis played the first half of Pompey’s 2-1 win over MK Dons at Fratton Park yesterday in League One.
