Covid-19: Four deaths, 763 new cases in Northern Ireland

FOUR further Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland.

Figures released today show an additional 763 new cases of the coronavirus.

The North’s death toll is now 606 and the total number of cases in the region stands at 23,878.

Of those, 6,394 positive cases have been detected in the last week.

Of the fort deaths, two were males, one aged 40 and 49 and the other aged between 60 and 79.

The other deaths were a woman aged over 80 and a man aged between 60 and 79.

At the moment, there are 201 patients in Northern Ireland hospitals receiving treatment for Covid-19, 24 of whom are in intensive care settings.
