The Lough Swilly RNLI has this issued a warning over a dangerous stretch of beach at Fahan.
Members of the RNLI say they have received reports of people out walking on the ‘sandbar’ at Fahan.
The RNLI spokesperson asked people to be extra careful as they could be cut off by the incoming tide.
“We have spring tides at this time of year and which means the tide is further out than normal.
“WE understand that people will explore but you could be cut off very easily with the incoming tide.
“If you find yourself in trouble or see someone in difficulty please call 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard,” said the spokesperson.
