Warning to boat-owners after Moville boat damaged

Gardai have issued a warning to boat-owners after a boat berthed at the pier in Moville was damaged.

The lock on the wheelhouse of the boat was smashed but the inside cabin was not entered.

The incident happened on the evening of Wednesday last, October 14th between 8.30pm and 1.30am.

Gardai have suggested the intruder may have thought an alarm had gone off and fled the scene.

They say nothing was taken in the incident.

They have appealed to boat-owners across the county to ensure their vessels are secure.

Anybody with any information o the Moville incident is asked to contact Buncrana Gardai.
