The Department of Health has reported a further 1,167 cases of Covid today.
A total of 48 of these cases are in Donegal.
Three people who were diagnosed with the virus have also died.
The number of people being treated in intensive care units is 34, unchanged from yesterday.
Meanwhile, the incidence rate in Donegal remains at 320 per 100,000 people.
Level 5 restrictions come into operation this evening at midnight.
