The number of patients with Covid-19 receiving care at Letterkenny University Hospital has increased to 20.
One patient with Covid-19 is reported as critical and in intensive care. Two other patients in ICU have been recorded as suspected cases.
There are a further eight patients at the hospital who are suspected of having the virus. A double-test approach is being take at LUH during the pandemic.
The latest HSE data from the hospital was released at 8pm last night. It shows that there are two critical care and seven general care beds remaining in Letterkenny.
Letterkenny University Hospital has the sixth highest number of Covid-19 patients across Ireland’s acute hospitals. The number of hospitalisations nationwide last night was 309, with fifteen patients in total in critical care.
