Five more people have died with Covid-19 in Northern Ireland, the Department of Health reports.
1,252 new COVID cases have been detected in the past 24 hours, including 128 in the Derry City/Strabane council region.
There have now been 639 Covid-19 related deaths in Northern Ireland.
Today marks one week since the introduction of new restrictions in Northern Ireland, including the closing of schools for two weeks.
New figures published today show that half of all Northern Ireland’s schools recorded at least one confirmed Covid-19 case since the start of term. In total, there have been 2,030 positive Covid cases in schools in NI.
