Listen: Ollie Horgan says Finn Harps ‘can’t be depending on other teams’

OLLIE Horgan has urged his Finn Harps side to summons every lunch of their fighting qualities in the next couple of weeks.

With four games to go, Harps are a point ahead of basement side Cork City and occupy the play-off spot. While Harps have two games in hand, Horgan expects the battle to avoid the drop to go right to the wire.

“We’re still there and still hanging on – but we know no better,” Horgan told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“It’s a long way to run still and we need the twists and turns to go our way. I still think it will go to the last day.”

Harps haven’t played since a battling 0-0 away draw at Dundalk three weeks ago and are at Bohemians on Saturday evening.

Horgan said: “We need to get ourselves right and we need to try and get something out of the next four games. We can’t depend on other results going for us.

“We have to pick up points and not be depending on other teams taking points against Cork.”
