The Department of Health in Northern Ireland reports that 727 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected in the past 24 hours.
Seventy-seven of the new cases are in the Derry City/Strabane council region.
There have been five more Covid-19 related deaths in Northern Ireland. The total number of deaths associated with the disease is now 658.
The seven-day average of new cases in Northern Ireland has now decreased to 970 cases per day.
Today marks one week since schools in Northern Ireland closed. Schools were given an extended Halloween break on Monday 19th October and are scheduled to reopen on 2nd November.
The Northern Ireland executive has also closed pubs, restaurants and cafes and close contact services until 13th November.
