The RNLI is urging people to stay back from the coastline as high swells strike this week.
The remnants of Hurricane Epsilon have brought mountainous waves of up to 16 metres to the north west coast in recent days.
People are encouraged to stay back, stay high, stay dry during stormy times, but footage of people walking along exposed areas of Portrush on the north coast have sparked safety fears locally.
Volunteers with RNLI Lough Swilly have appealed to people only to witness the power of the sea from a safe distance.
“If you’re in trouble or see someone in difficulty, ring 112 or 999 and ask for the Coast Guard.”
