Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) has been named runner-up Institute Technology of the Year in The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.

The annual guide is Ireland’s definitive list of third-level rankings, which helps students make informed decisions on their education.

Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) was named Institute of Technology of the year, while Dublin City University was named University of the Year for the third time.

The full rankings are set to be revealed in The Sunday Times on 1st November.

“This is a significant time for LYIT and we are delighted to receive this fantastic endorsement from the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021,” said a statement from the institute.

“LYIT was commended for our significant collaboration work, most specifically LYIT’s cross-border further and higher education initiatives, and the institutes work in becoming a Technological University.”
