Breaking: 20 new Covid-19 cases in Donegal, 270 cases and one death nationally

THERE have been 20 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Donegal this evening.

Of the 270 cases confirmed in Ireland today, 20 are in Donegal – the third highest in the country today after Dublin (103) and Limerick (34).

Donegal’s 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 population remains the highest in Ireland at 275.8.

There gave been 439 new cases in Donegal in the last 14 days.

Nationally, one new death and 270 new cases were confirmed by health officials this evening.

Since the outbreak, there have been 1,948 Covid-19 related deaths and 65,659 positive cases.

Of today’s new cases: 143 are men, 127 are women; 69 per cent are under the age of 45l the median age is 34.

Of the cases, 103 are in Dublin, 34 are in Limerick, 20 are in Donegal, 12 are in Cork, 9 are in Kerry, 9 are in Kilkenny, and another 83 cases are spread across 20 other counties.
