Curran goes west as Gaoth Dobhair move to install new management

GAOTH Dobhair have become the latest Donegal GAA team to confirm a new management team for 2021.

Kevin Cassidy and Joe Duffy have been installed as managers with Maxi Curran (pictured) to join as the coach.

Curran will end his tenure as the manager of the Donegal senior ladies after tomorrow’s Championship game against Waterford.

Downings clubman Curran has also managed St Eunan’s in recent years and was involved in the back room teams of Donegal senior football managers Jim McGuinness and Rory Gallagher.

Former Donegal captain Cassidy, a central figure in 2018 when Gaoth Dobhair won the Ulster senior club title, and Duffy, a former Gaoth Dobhair player, will be in a high-profile management team in Magheragallon.

They succeed Mervyn O’Donnell, who stepped down this year after a four-year reign.
