Letterkenny Hospital records highest Covid patient numbers in Ireland

The number of patients with Covid-19 in Letterkenny University Hospital is now the highest in the country.

There are 41 patient with the virus receiving treatment onsite – up from 28 on Saturday.

Data from the hospital, released at 8pm last night, shows there are two patients with Covid-19 in intensive care.

There are a further five patients with suspected cases. A double test approach is being taken at LUH during the pandemic.

The latest HSE report says there are no general care or critical care beds remaining at the hospital.
