Nine more patients with Covid-19 in Northern Ireland have died, the Department of Health reports.
There are a further 549 new cases of the virus detected in the past 24 hours, including 61 in the Derry City/Strabane region.
In the past seven days, the Department of Health in NI has recorded 3,724 new cases of coronavirus.
First Minister of Northern Ireland Arlene Foster has said the public health situation is improving after the circuit breaker restrictions with the R number now sitting at around 0.8 – 0.9. The DUP leader also said she would not out blocking more Covid-19 restrictions if required.
