A court has changed a man’s bail conditions because of safety fears.

Falcarragh District Court was told today that the bail conditions for Donard McLarnon had been changed and he was now living at a new address.

Mr McLarnon was charged with knowingly having in his possession child pornography to wit, 86 images and also two videos contained on an iPhone 6plus.

Garda Eugene Organ told the court that he arrested the 51-year-old at 4 Cuan na Tira, Kerrykeel.

He was released on bail under a number of conditions.

One of these conditions was that he reside at this address.

However, his solicitor Patsy Gallagher asked for a change of bail conditions.

Mr Gallagher said that Gardai were aware of a change of residence and that he was told not to disclose the address.

“Safety concerns have arisen in relation to the matter,” Mr Gallagher said.

McLarnon was recently released on his own bail bond of €250 and Judge Paul Kelly adjourned the case until January 20th next.
