A MAN became highly abusive to Gardaí after his car crashed into a ditch.
Bhupinder Singh (33) of Whitethorn Close, Letterkenny was arrested on May 18, 2020.
Gardaí responded to a report of a car being in a ditch at 7.50am. As officers were making their way to the scene, they came upon three males walking on the road in an intoxicated state.
One of the males, Singh, became highly abusive.
“He was roaring, shouting and cursing loudly before being arrested,” Sergeant Jim Collins told Letterkenny District Court.
Singh was arrested and conveyed to Letterkenny Garda Station, where the onslaught of abuse continued.
Singh was not present in Court. His solicitor, Mr Patsy Gallagher said his client has to ‘deal with demons on a daily basis’.
Judge Paul Kelly adjourned the case until January 18 next when a further matter is due before the Court.
