NCT tests will get back to normal for motorists from Inishowen today.

It follows delays at the Carndonagh Centre in recent weeks which saw some motorists have to make trips of 120kms to Letterkenny for some testing.

The issue was raised by local county councillor Martin McDermott.

However, a spokesperson for Applus, who runs the tests centres, said flooding which had caused delays at the centre had been resolved.

Spokesperson Sinead Keon told Donegal Daily “We have now alleviated the flooding in and around the Carndonagh test centre and I’m happy to report that the centre will return to full operation tomorrow (Thurs) for all customers in the Carndonagh area.”
