TWENTY new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Donegal today.
Nationally, there were seven Covid-19 related deaths reported and 206 new cases – which is the lowest daily increase since September.
The 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 population in Ireland has dropped to 98.2.
However, Donegal’s incidence rate remains the highest in the country at 216.1, with 344 cases were detected in the county in the past fortnight.
Letterkenny University Hospital continues to have the highest number of Covid-19 patients in Ireland. The latest data from 8pm last night showed that there were 38 patients with the virus onsite, including two people with Covid-19 in ICU.
As of 2pm today, 248 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised nationally, of which 35 are in ICU. There have been 10 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
