Breaking: 26 more Covid-19 cases in Donegal, seven deaths nationally

A FURTHER 26 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Donegal this evening by health officials.

Nationally, there were seven further Covid-19 deaths and 243 cases today.

The 26 new cases in Donegal mean there have been 343 infections in the county over the last 14 days.

Since the outbreak, there have been 2,050 Covid-19 related deaths and 71,942 confirmed cases.

Of the cases notified today: 137 are men and 104 are women; 71 per cent are under 45 years of age; the median age is 32 years old.

Of the new cases, there are 91 in Dublin, 26 in Donegal, 18 in Cork, 16 in Waterford, 15 in Limerick, and the remaining 77 cases are spread across another 18 counties

As of 2pm today, 254 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 31 are in ICU. There have been 20 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
