Drop in number of Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny hospital

THE number of Covid-19 patients in Letterkenny University Hospital has dropped to 33.

The latest update from the HSE, measured at 8pm on Wednesday, show that LUH had 33 conformed Covid-19 cases on site and one suspected Covid-19 case.

There is one patient in LUH being treated for Covid-19 in the intensive care unit.

Kilkenny hospital now has the highest number of Covid-19 patients in the country with 34.

Figures show that there were ten general and one critical care bed available in LUH.

Yesterday, Saolta confirmed that 68 staff members at LUH had been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last week. A further 54 members were reported to be off duty due to being either symptomatic or a close contact of a confirmed case.
