Donegal records another 37 new Covid cases with 456 nationwide

Donegal has once again recorded the greatest number of Covid cases outside of Dublin.

The Department of Health recorded a total of 37 cases in Donegal out of 456 nationwide.

There has also been 13 further deaths related to Covid-19.

It brings the total number of deaths to 2,099, and cumulative cases to 73,948.

Today’s figures include some cases not reported earlier this week due to a technical issue.

Of all the cases, 197 are in Dublin, 37 in Donegal, 33 in Limerick, 21 in Louth, 20 in Kilkenny and the remaining 148 cases are spread across 21 other counties.

Meanwhile, there has been a further seven coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland during the past 24 hours, taking the official Department of Health toll to 1,039.

An additional 451 new cases have also been confirmed following tests on 2,839 people, taking the cumulative number of positive tests to 54,628.
