Donegal sees another 32 Covid-19 cases, with 301 nationally

HEALTH officials have confirmed that another 32 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Donegal in the last 24 hours.

Nationally this evening, health officials reported no further Covid-19 death and 301 new cases.

Donegal’s  14-day incidence rate, per 100,000 population, remains the country’s highest at 224.9, with 358 new cases in the last fortnight.

Of the cases notified today: 133 are men and 168 are women; 64 per cent are under 45 years of age; the median age is 32 years old.

Of the new cases, there are 119 in Dublin, with 32 in Donegal, 16 in Cork, 13 in Kildare, 13 in Kilkenny and the remaining 108 cases are spread across 18 other counties.

Since the outbreak, there have been 2,099 deaths and 74,246 positive cases.

There have been a total of 3,126 cases in Donegal.

As of 2pm today, 231 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 28 are in ICU. There have been eight additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
