Site confirmed for Buncrana Three School Campus

A compulsory purchase order is underway to acquire land for Buncrana’s new Three School Campus.

The project has taken a major step forward with the publication of a CPO notice to buy ten acres of land in Buncrana near the Cockhill Road and Causeway Road.

Public advertisements for the Crana College Campus site in Buncrana have been published in this week’s Inish Times and Inishowen Independent newspapers.

The move by the Department of Education has been welcomed as a positive step forward. Securing a site is the essential first step in delivering new schools for Crana College, Gaelscoil Bhun Cranncha and Coláiste Chineál Eoghain.

Minister Charlie McConalogue said he is delighted that the announcement was made this week.

He said: “I made progress of this project a clear priority for 2020 and I am delighted that it was reached this first important milestone…

“I thank Minister Foley, Donegal County Council, Donegal ETB and the Crana College Campus team for their efforts to progress this project” said the Minister.
