Gardai in Inishowen have warned motorists in Carndonagh to be extra careful because of roaming deer.

A heard of deer were spotted on the Mountain Road to Carndonagh last night.

They have asked motorists to slow down as this could be a real ‘claus’ for concern.

A spokesperson said “We understand that this is almost that time of year when deer would usually be expected around the place but these guys are a few days early so don’t get caught out.”
