Cars seized as Gardaí note a ‘good sign’ on drink/drug-driving

GARDAÍ in Donegal have seized cars while on checkpoint duty.

The Buncrana Roads Policing unit seized vehicles.

“A couple of cars were seized as a result of having no insurance, NCT,” a Garda Spokesperson said.

There were no detections for drink or drug-driving.

The Garda spokesperson added: “We hope that this is a good sign and that people will continue to make the wise decision not to get behind the wheel of their car after having consumed alcohol or drugs especially as Christmas approaches.”
