Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Charlie McConalogue has tested positive for Covid-19, a spokesperson has confirmed.
The Donegal Minister, who is from North Inishowen, has displayed no symptoms and is self isolating for a period of time and following all public health guidelines.
The government has announced that all ministers are restricting their movements following Minister McConalogue’s positive result. Ministers are currently awaiting a Covid-19 test and result.
Cabinet members met in Dublin yesterday to sign off on the latest set of restrictions.
