A MAN in his 20s will appear in court tomorrow morning in connection with the robbery of a filling station in Letterkenny.
A suspected handgun has been recovered by Gardaí following the robbery at the Spar Express at Glencar, Letterkenny at approximately 9.40am today.
A man entered the premises with what appeared to be a gun and threatened terrified staff.
The man fled on foot with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
Later in the morning, Gardaí responded to a reports of a theft of a vehicle and intercepted a car in Donegal town.
A suspected handgun, a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes were all recovered by Gardaí.
A man aged in his 20s was arrested and subsequently charged.
He is due to appear before Carrick-on-Shannon District Court at 10:30am tomorrow.
