Gardaí have arrested a man following an assault in a home in Donegal Town.
The incident occurred in the Drumrooske Est area on Wednesday evening.
Gardaí attended the scene where a man, aged in his 40s, was discovered with injuries. He was taken to Letterkenny Hospital for treatment.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene. He is being detained at Ballyshannon Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Investigations are ongoing.
