A daring duo’s plans to ‘scoot’ for healthcare services this New Year’s Day have come to a halt due to new Covid-19 restrictions.
Darren and Dean Curran were just days away from attempting a 14km trek from Muff to Redcastle on tiny children’s scooters for Letterkenny University Hospital.
However, last night’s full Level Five lockdown means the brothers can no longer travel outside their 5km zone. Due to the new rules and with advice from local gardaí, they have been forced to postpone the challenge.
“As soon as the level 5 restrictions are lifted the charity event will happen, at the minute we are hoping to get it done on Sunday February the 7th,” Dean and Darren told friends.
“The response we got to the event so far was brilliant and we thank everybody who has donated so far and keep the donations coming in thanks everyone.”
