Gardaí remind domestic abuse victims they can travel for help

Gardaí in Donegal are reassuring victims of domestic abuse that current restrictions do not apply if they need to seek help.

Anyone who is a victim of domestic abuse or is in fear for their safety at any time should reach out for help.

“Please do not feel trapped in an abusive situation,” said a spokesperson.

“Please do not forgo medical attention for a sexual or physical trauma because of the restrictions that are in place. The travel restrictions do not apply should you need to get to a place of safety in a domestic violence situation.”
