A Status Yellow ice warning has been issued for Donegal tonight as temperatures are set to drop to freezing lows.
Tonight will be very cold, with lows of -1C to -5C, and possibly colder. Met Eireann is warning of the risk of widespread severe frost and ice forming under largely clear skies. Some freezing fog patches are possible in Ulster.
Freezing temperatures will persist well into the day on Wednesday.
The ice alert will come in to effect at 6 o’clock tonight and is set to last until 10am tomorrow.
